St Helens men prefer pie and chips to sex

The results of a major new study into sexual behaviour in St Helens have revealed that a sizeable number of local men prefer pie and chips to sex with their spouses.
Researcher Phil Mc Formin of the Faculty of Statistics and Pointless Studies at the University of Parr explained. " Using the latest computerised gadgets we exposed a sample of local males to randomly generated images of their spouses in the usual going to bed attire and Pie and Chips". "Arousal levels where then measured by other technical stuff and the results show that 51.5% of the subjects where more aroused by the Pie and Chips."
He added "When onion gravy and peas where added to the Pie and Chips, arousal levels levels increased to a staggering 74.3%".

A spokesperson for St Helens council who funded the research said it "just goes to show how much we take for granted".

Phils next venture is to examine the links between the number of fast food outlets and teenage pregnancy in the town.
